Can you briefly explain the presets?CONTROLS
Up to 256 positions can be stored per camera. Recall any preset from the joystick or keyboard controller and the camera slews at up to 100°/s.
How do you connect the camera and the joystick together?INSTALLATION
Every camera ships with the Night Master keyboard controller. Camera and controller communicate over RS-485 using self-adaptive PELCO-P/D addressing, so the two negotiate their address and baud rate automatically.
Is the Ethernet connection with an IP address?NETWORK
Yes. The camera joins your onboard network with a standard IP address, so it can be reached from any device on the same network.
Is there live video stream while away from the boat?NETWORK
When the vessel has an internet uplink (cellular or satellite), the live stream can be viewed remotely. Away-from-boat access depends on your onboard connectivity.
Is this camera compatible with my devices on board?COMPATIBILITY
The camera outputs dual CVBS video over F-type connectors and reads NMEA 0183, so it integrates with standard marine displays and radar. Share your helm setup and we will confirm the fit.
What is MOB and Docking mode?MODES
MOB Mode adjusts the thermal image to display more detail of a man in the water. Docking Mode shows more detail near the hull to find docking obstacles.
What is the camera efficiency in thick fog, capturing logs, buoys, etc.?PERFORMANCE
The thermal core sees heat rather than light, so it cuts through haze and darkness — detecting a small vessel at up to 1675 m and a person at up to 550 m.
What is the tracking feature?PERFORMANCE
With optional NMEA 0183 tracking, the camera reads radar target strings and slews automatically to keep the target actively in view.
What is the voltage for the joystick and for the camera?INSTALLATION
The camera runs on DC 10.8–32V and the controller accepts 10.8–28V input. Both power off automatically on low voltage.
